Thought of the Day
I am still amazed at how smoothly Lidia ran the house. From cooking to mopping. From doing the dishes to feeding the dogs. And everything that goes along with that. Don't get me wrong, I did help out before, but holy cow she did a lot around the house. She's a special woman and I'm thankful for all that she has done for me.
Jared Clayton asked if he could come and visit with Lidia today. He asked what she likes as a treat, I told him that she likes fruits and melons. (are fruits and melons the same thing?) Throughout the day, she has requested either watermelon or cantaloupe. Best treat ever.
We also had a visit from Nancy Tippetts, she stopped by and gave Lidia a book. It was a picture book but a little advanced. It's not Star Wars, but it will do. I think it was a good choice for me to be able to read to Lidia and show her the pictures. Anything helps to get the brain to recognize and associate things with words. The book is called Little Book of Wonders by Nadia Drake.
Physical Therapy Starts
We had our first visit from our in-home physical therapist. Her name is Rhonda from Community Nursing Services. We have a schedule now of Monday and Wednesdays at 9:00 am. I think I might get the Total Gym out of storage. Problem is, I have nowhere to put it. We'll see how things go.
Question of the Day
Is tingling in your leg, like your leg has fallen asleep a good sign? This is something Lidia experience for the first time today. Normally, her leg has felt numb. This was the first time she has felt tingling. Is this the start of getting mobility back in her leg? I don't know. Let's document it and see what happens next.
We also noticed that she is getting some feeling back into her leg that she couldn't feel before. We can hope that she's on the mend.
